Spellbound was founded in 2012. Originally a fully integrated communications consultancy delivering mass communications it has developed over time, adding interpersonal communication and behavioural work to its repertoire. Spellbound is a collaborative, made up of skilled communications and design professionals in the UK.

Spellbound is led by Rachel Smyth, an award-winning communications specialist who has acted in an advisory capacity to the highest levels of government in the UK, British and NATO military command in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Germany, and extensively within British policing.  A qualified lawyer and journalist, she brings 20 years of experience of working in all facets of media and communication – from managing some of the biggest news stories of recent years, to working on BAFTA winning documentaries and co-authoring a book on effective communication structures with leading psychologists at Harvard University.
